  • Energy Work

The direction of natural energies found in all things, usually toward a goal. Referenced in Paganism as Magick. Also known in Earth’s Joy as Weavings.

  • Experiential

Relating to or derived from experience. When we say that Earth’s Joy is experiential, we aim to feel the oneness and interact with Spirit/God/Spirits/Gods as opposed to going through rote motions and actions without feeling and experiencing Spirit. Experiencing often comes from meditation, journeywork, dreamwork, dance, song, quest, etc. This is to differentiate from spiritual paths or religions that are focused more on reconstructing a particular way of doing things or solely on reading and understanding texts. While we reference texts and scholarly works, our primary focus is on spiritual experience rather than accurate reproduction.

  • Panentheism

Panentheism is a belief system which posits that the divine (be it a monotheistic God, polytheistic gods, or an eternal cosmic animating force) interpenetrates every part of nature and timelessly extends beyond it. Panentheism differentiates itself from pantheism, which holds that the divine is synonymous with the universe. Unlike pantheism, panentheism maintains the identity and significance of the non-divine in the world.

  • Spellwork

The direction of spiritual energies toward a goal. This term is often used in Paganism.

  • Spiritual Practice

Actions that help you in your quest for spiritual oneness.

  • Spirituality

Being connected to the inner core of our being that touches the inner core of all things. Not the same as religion. Spirituality is a personal quest for oneness with Divinity.

  • Weavings

The direction of spiritual energies toward a goal. Used in conjunction with physical action. This term is more familiar as “spellwork.” The term “weaving” is in reference to the creation of clothing, mats, and other items out of materials such as grasses and plant fibers to create a new, usable object. In Weavings, we direct natural and spiritual energies instead of grass or fibers using different methods with specific intent to create an outcome and obtain our goals.
